The MS in the Management of Technology (MS MOT) is a flexible evening program that is an excellent choice for technology professionals in the workforce who want to advance their careers. In this intense, innovative program, students can earn their degrees in less than two years. Classes meet two evenings a week on our Manchester campus.

The program is designed for technical employees (engineers, scientists, researchers) and those who manage them. It is also targeted at professionals who work in companies that are challenged by rapid technological change. This includes those who work in aerospace and defense, computer hardware and software development, biotechnology, consumer product design and development, and the automotive industry.   

The Whittemore School’s MS MOT program is the first such program—one of only three in the world—to be accredited by the International Association for the Management of Technology (IAMOT).

Mission and Goals

The MS MOT provides students of technical backgrounds with the knowledge and skills to manage the interfaces between technology, strategy and business processes, and the development and commercialization of emerging technologies.

Our graduates are critical thinkers who are trained to use creative strategies and appropriate technologies in solving problems. They are innovative team leaders who are skilled at communicating technical information. They are ethically-conscious professionals prepared for careers in a global economy.
