We are proud of our 55 alumni who work in high technology management jobs at some of the best companies in the world, including Doosan, Hewlett-Packard, LG, LS Cable, Motorola, Oracle, and Samsung. Many of these people have been promoted since they started the program. The MS-MOT will help you progress in your career from project management into complex program management and corporate guidance.
The program is 12 months long and team taught, with leading faculty from eight universities in Seoul: Chung-Ang, Hanyang, Kookmin, Korea, Seoul National, Sogang, and Yonsei. The faculty teaching in this program all have doctoral degrees from the best North American business schools, including Arizona State University, Carnegie Mellon University, Harvard University, Ohio State University, and Texas A&M University; the universities of Chicago, Illinois, Michigan, Oregon, Western Ontario, and Yale; and Wharton Business School.
Students spend the final four weeks of the program in the beautiful rural New England town of Durham, New Hampshire, close to Boston, the White Mountains, and the Maine and New Hampshire Seacoast, where they complete their courses, visit American firms, and celebrate their graduation.
Curriculum Design
The Master of Science in the Management of Technology Program provides students of technical backgrounds with the knowledge and skills to manage the interfaces between technology, strategy and business processes, technological change (evaluation, selection, implementation, and integration of technologies into new and existing businesses and organizations), and the development and commercialization of emerging technologies.
The curriculum has been designed with the scientist and technologist in mind. It includes just enough accounting and finance to understand how accounting statements work together, what information they contain, and how to develop a project budget and return on investment calculation. You will learn about technology development trends at the micro and macro levels, how to manage intellectual property, and anticipate emerging technology. You will walk away with helpful tools such as spreadsheet modeling and project management, and learn how to think strategically about high technology issues.
